Carefirst 24's training and professional development workshops are designed to be user friendly, informative and cover a wide range of specialist and non-specialist subjects. The learning outcomes for all courses and workshops focus on occupational competence. In this context, competence is defined as the ability to do something well or effectively.
In order to prove competence participants are expected to demonstrate their learned skills and will be awarded nationally recognised certificates accordingly. Every syllabus and curricular design is user focused, research based and informed by current legislation.
All vocational training programmes are delivered by a reputable and recognised educational organisation - all of our facilitators are qualified in their specialist areas.
Whilst nursing staff are encouraged to maintain their PREP requirements to continue to practice, domiciliary Health Care Associates are expected to have at least an NVQ in Care Level 2 qualification or be working towards one. This is not an academic qualification but one that assesses evidence based occupational competences. We have NVQ in Care Level 2 Assessors who are able to facilitate learning and achievement in association with the UKHCA (United Kingdom Home Care Association) of which Carefirst 24 Ltd is an active member.
Staff professional development is very important to Carefirst 24 and Profiles are kept in our Head Office that detail the personal biography and training activities of all our staff. We are therefore ensured that all of our staff are suitably and sufficiently trained for any and all assignments they undertake. |
