Nurse (Paediatric Home Care) Band 4
Job Summary
• Assesses, plans and implements care for children at home.
• Provides planned nursing care for children at home
• Provides advice and maintains associated records
• Carries out nursing procedures
• May provide clinical supervision to other staff, students
• Works within an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care with an emphasis
on promoting independence and rehabilitation as well as curative and palliative
care
Training / Qualifications / Knowledge
Registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment RN (Child) / RN8 OR RN1 or RN2 Registered Nurse, with a post registration course in paediatrics.
Desirable Criteria: Teaching & assessing qualification
Experience
Current (within last 6 months) evidence based practice within a primary care field
appropriate to the assignment. 18 months post registration experience in paediatric
nursing
Skills, Abilities, Knowledge and understanding about the above position will be asked at interviews
