Nursery Nurse (Community). Band 4
Service Users:
Children / Infants and their families
Job Summary
- Assists qualified staff in delivering care and support to children / infants and their families in a variety of community settings. Works as part of a multi disciplinary team which may include health visitors, nurses and midwives and other child care professionals.
- Assists with developmental reviews, child health clinics and group work activities
- May undertake home visits to provide support to parents and children
- May run play programmes
- May provide care at child care facilities e.g. crèche, nursery
- May be required to participate in child protection case conferences and case review meetings
Training / Qualifications / Knowledge
NVQ level 3 in healthcare/ NNEB / CACHE Diploma
Experience
- Working with children in a setting appropriate to the assignment
- NHS experience either community or acute sectors
Skills, Abilities, Knowledge and understanding about the above position will be asked at interviews
