Service Users:

Mental Health patients – in the home, in clinics and in intermediate care settings. 

 

Job Summary

• Assesses patients, plans and implements individual care programmes and therapeutic interventions in a range of community mental health settings including the home, clinics and intermediate care.

• Provides individual support for people with a mental health problem to enable them to live in the community and make their own choices

• Works within an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care with an emphasis on promoting independence and rehabilitation

• Carries out nursing procedures

• May provide clinical supervision to other staff, students

  

Training / Qualifications / Knowledge

Registered on the appropriate part of the NMC register for the assignment RN (Mental Health ) RN3, RN4

 

Desirable Criteria: Teaching & assessing qualification

 

Experience

Current (within last 6 months) evidence based practice within a mental; health setting appropriate to the assignment. If newly qualified (within the last year) - evidence that a preceptorship programme has been completed successfully

 

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge and understanding about the above position will be asked at interviews
