One of our coordinators will receive a request and record the date. The date, the request is for; the time of the shift; the grade needed; the ward to be covered; and the name of the person making the booking. Also we will ask the reason for the request, i.e. cover annual leave, sickness, and maternity leave. Also if the person requesting the cover has got computer facility, he will be able to do the request through our website. The coordinator will contact the ward with the details of the bank nurse as soon as they have filled a shift. Where one week’s notice or more has been given for the request, then the ward will be updated on the potential to fill the shift, 72 hours prior to the shift.
We make sure before we start providing staffs, we require the booking department of your organisation to sign a contract with us and to write all the names of the people that will be doing the bookings. And then, we will phone them every 3 months to check whether, there are any updates in the people responsible for the bookings. In this way, we can countercheck by either calling the person or by calling other people on the list to confirm |
